Quality Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Analyst to join our team and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. As a Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in our software development processes.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing to identify and report software defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
Perform root cause analysis of defects, track and manage defects using defect tracking tools, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Continuously improve and automate testing processes, methodologies, and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups, providing input on quality-related aspects.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met and provide feedback on process improvements.
Conduct performance and load testing to evaluate system performance and identify areas for optimization.
Prepare and present test results, defect reports, and quality metrics to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in quality assurance to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Solid knowledge of manual and automated testing techniques, including test case design, test execution, and defect management.
Experience with testing frameworks, test management tools, and defect tracking systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively identify, analyze, and communicate software defects.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Experience with test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile development environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
